Bangkok Trip (Jul/4 to Jul/7 2008)

DAY 1 :

1. My Travel Buddies below.


2. In the plane setting off from Singapore in Tiger Airway. Flight taken off at 6.30am.


3. Top View of Thailand. Reach Bangkok airport at 8.50am


4. Taxi charging by meter. This dishonest taxi driver drove us one big round before we reach our hotel. Cost us 600baht by meter + 100baht toll charges (It should only cost us 300baht initially)
Oh yah, forgot to intro Ricky's sis-Eve whom is wearing Nike red jacket shown below.


5. Reach the Hotel Inn in Sala Daeng at 10am. It's a 6-storey high building with good location as it is near the MRT and shopping mall.


6. Waiting to check in. Jia Jia & me ware rotting at the comfy sofa whereas Ricky is so full of spirit.


7. Taking Sky Train from S2 Sala Daeng to CS Siam
We bought some juices near the Sky Train booth & the 3 of us are not coordinating for the snap shot.


8. Reach Siam to do some prayer to the 4-Faced Buddha which many devotees believed their prayers came through. So Rick & i go join in the queue whereas Jia is a Christian & Eve is a Catholic hiding under some shades.

Wonder why the buddha statues are all covered by white cloth? Heard from my colleague that not long ago, there's this "siao" guy disfigured the statues for duno wat reason and later kena beat to death by the devotees on the spot. Duno if he is kena "gong tao". You can see some dancers at the temple area wherby the devotees will pay some $ for the dancers to dance for the gods.

11. Start of our day shopping at Pratunam


12. My 1st Tu-Tu experience is a bad one. The Tu Tu driver is so gian peng.
We actually negotiate with the driver for 100baht for the fare back to our hotel which is not far away before we hop onto the Tu Tu. On the way, the driver chu pattern liao, asking us to go to the gem fty blah blah places so that he can collect the chops to redeem the petrol. But we were persistent not to go anywhere as we have an appt for Thai massage later, but he still drive us straight to the gem fty without our approval. We were so pissed off but wat to do since we already reach. So we told him, only tis place and bring us back straight to hotel, and he agreed.
He is such a PIG that after the gem fty, he wanted to bring us to other places. We were so annoyed that we argued with him that NO WAY we are going anywhere except Hotel. Guess what next, he abandoned us on the road leh. I was cursing & swearing(in my heart) at him man. Somemore we ask him to drop us at the nearby mrt, he said give him 100baht and will bring us to the mrt. Wah lau eh, i ask him go to hell lah, and we walked for 3km to the nearby sky train. HMPH



13. Our hotel room (1 Single size & 1 King size bed)



Day 2 :

1. We took the sky train to HUA LAMPHONG aka their Chinatown. There are Bird Nest and Shark fin selling in almost every shop. So scary man.


2. There is this cutie little boy in the picture below. He knows im taking photos of their shop, and wanted to attract my attention. After we bought the dry goods in their shop, the little boy keep pulling on our clothes & hands, dun wan u to leave.
Quite surprise there are MENS doing threading too, so hiao. But the threading is abit different from our Tekka one. Our Tekka is using white powder on the face but they are using white cream instead. (like those men shaving cream, hahaha)


3. We have our lunch at this small stall called duno wat, the name card is in thai. hehee The lady in the 1st matrix box on the left is selling their thai char kwaytiao (middle of the picture). Overall the food taste quite good.


4. Taking mrt to National Stadium for more shopping. Too bad i din take picures of their shopping mall as they can really spar with our Orchard road. They are so huge that i still din manage to cover all the shops and no camera allowed in the shopping mall hor. They even got the scanning door, scare people bring bomb ar.
Worse still, i din bring enough $$ and i regretted so much i din bring along my Mastercard. Sob sob
There are so many nice and cheap stuffs.

Did i mentioned they even got security guard at mrt entrance as shown in the picture below? They will stop you and check your bag, ma chiam you will bring stink bomb or wat.


5. In the evening, we had our dinner at Asia hotel and catching the CABERAT SHOW(actually is an Ah Gua's show). Damn funny the show. There are some ah gua that beh kua, either they are old with mark lee's face or they are pui pui in shape. Only a few very pretty faces. (Will upload the video shortly)




5. Catching the Saturday night movie "WANTED" 10.50pm @ Siam Paragon. WE bought the Couple seat with the big sofa @ the last row of the theater. So shiok! Cost us 350baht each. Also please take note their drinks do not come in small sizes(they only have 1 size) cos Jia Jia bought it at 22oz(i think la. is like our Large size) which took 3 of us to finish off the coke.



Yea, before the movie starts, they will always play their KING documentary and all the people MUST get their butts off from the seat. WE LOVE OUR KING. And you may be seated, sit back and enjoy the show. So people, pls remember to stand up hor when you are in their cinema, otherwise i duno if they will humptump you.

Day 3 :

1. Stupid pictures taken in the wee hours 3am in the hotel.





2. We are @ Chatuchap.


Thai Char Kway Tiao again with Chix wing & "Chuan Shao" bought from the roadside.
Duno what the people eating with that pile of veggie and their special made chilli sause, duno if is some kinda of their thai salad. Many people are eating those, even the ang mohs too.




Taken pics of some cute stalls. Bought a burberry plastic bag to fill up my victory. Dun understimate these so call "Da Lu"(Mainland) plastic bag, cos many people bought alot of it. I saw aunties carrying the hello kitty, winnie the pooh etc... Also the fake toy stall, im so surprise they have siow ah, siow bak and bai zhan ji

That's the quail egg the lady is so-call frying it. We bought 8pcs for 20baht.


3. International Dinner buffet @ the tallest Baiyoke Hotel in Bangkok.

Entrance of Baiyoke Sky. BEWARE OF PICKPOCKET ON SUNDAY?? Shouldn't it be EVERYDAY??


Dining Restaurant at Level 77. (Lucky 7!)


After dinner, need to do some digest exercise. Time for snap shots at level 78.

1. 2nd time at the Health Spa.
Ric & Jia having Thai full body massage whereas Eva & me doing foot masasge.
(But it seems to be the same to me, cos they also "crack" my back & massage my temple)
